When dogs go over the rainbow bridge

Today I am writing honoring a friend. On friday she had to put one of her dogs to sleep, she was attacked by her other dog and didn't quite make it. I do not know all the details, all I know is how she feels right now.
Losing a dog is hard. And really there is nothing you can say, other than it is not easy, and that you understand how hard it is. Non-dog owners may never understand how can a dog put such a big hole in your heart, and why you are crying for a dog! But it is because they have never had the blessing of infinite love dogs give you everyday of their existence, a pure love like no other, not even of that of a son or daughter! Kids, even being blood of your blood they will grow and form their own opinions that may be opposite to yours, they will grow and live their own life. Kids just grow, they become teenagers and they hate you, they become independent adults and they are too busy with their own life and have no time for you.
Dogs know they are there to love you and cherish you and be your companions, their heart is so big and their love is endless!
So it is a sad day, it will be a few sad days, as my friend is grieving her loss, and Victor and I are getting closer to the year of losing Nazca.
And so, I write copy rainbow bridge poem here:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
